The average age of young people in Ireland leaving the parental home was twenty eight (28) in 2023. That’s above the EU average of 26.3 years. And it’s gone up since 2022 when it was 26.9. There, the average age of a young person leaving the parental home, was nearly thirty two (31.8) last year.
