EU Commissioner “pushing for maximum assistance” for Ukraine – Dublin

The European Commissioner for Democracy and Demography says the EU is ready to receive Ukrainian refugees and to send whatever assistance it can to the people of Ukraine.

Dubravka Šuica was speaking during her visit to Dublin today to attend the Conference on the Future of Europe.

The Commissioner says she can sympathise with the Ukrainians because she herself experienced war first-hand during the conflict in Croatia in the 1990s.
