EU urges Russia to take “concrete & tangible steps” to de-escalation - Michel

The President of the European Council has said that Russia’s “extraordinary deployment of military forces” around Ukraine can only be seen as aggressive and threatening behaviour.

Speaking this morning in the European Parliament, Charles Michel said Russia’s military escalation not only endangers the stability and integrity of Ukraine but also threatens peace and security in Europe.

He called on Russia to de-escalate its military build-up in the region.
