Farmers’ concerns being addressed – EU

The EU’s Agriculture Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski has outlined some of the measures being considered to address the range of concerns farmers have today.  The EU says it’s committed to addressing the “legitimate concerns of farmers”.

EU Agriculture Ministers yesterday discussed the EU’s response to the current problems in the agriculture sector. They looked at recent proposals to reduce the administrative burden on farmers and simplify CAP regulations. European Commission initiatives to strengthen the position of farmers in the food supply chain were also on the agenda.
