McGuinness in Cork “to listen and learn”

EU Commissioner Mairead McGuinness says she’s in Cork to “listen and learn” over the next two days. Earlier today, the Commissioner addressed the EU for Cork: Unlocking opportunities for Cork event in the City Hall. She'll also visit the Tyndall National Institute to find out more about its work in areas such as Artificial Intelligence and agri-technology. And tomorrow the Commissioner will deliver the Monahan Lecture at UCC. 

Earlier today, Commissioner McGuinness heard how EU funding has enabled the BRIDE project in north-east Cork and west Waterford, to explore new ways to preserve and restore lowland intensive farmland.
