Ukrainian refugees can get jobs, education, housing and more – EU Commissioner

An EU protection mechanism for refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine will enable them to avail of rights and services in all EU countries, including Ireland.  

Last week EU member states agreed to implement the Temporary Protection Directive which is designed to provide assistance and protection to war refugees.  

Today, the EU Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson, said the Commission would soon present guidelines on how the directive can be implemented.
