The President of the European Commission is warning the EU will make environmental polluters pay in order to address the ravages of climate change.
During her State of the European Union address to the European Parliament this morning, Ursula von der Leyen referred to the recent floods in Belgium and Germany and the wildfires from Greece to France.
She told MEPs, climate change is man-made but that it can be fixed.

Covid mustn’t become ‘pandemic of the unvaccinated’ – Von der Leyen

The EU must continue with its efforts to roll out Covid vaccines to its people to keep on top of the epidemic.
That was a key message from the President of the European Commission during her State of the European Union address this morning (15/09/21).
Ursula von der Leyen told the European Parliament that the EU has now fully vaccinated more than seventy percent (70%) of its adult population. And she said, the EU has delivered vaccines to more than one hundred and thirty (130) countries globally.
But Von der Leyen warned against complacency and said EU countries need to continue rolling out Covid vaccines.
